JBES Open House!!!
We are happy to be welcoming families into the school on October 4 th for an Open House! This will give  parents/guardians a chance to walk through the school, meet teachers; if you haven’t already, and view student work displayed throughout the school. Doors will open at 5:30pm, sharp, and will close at 6:30pm.
Bartlett Recreation and JBES PTO will have tables set-up for parents/guardians that have any questions.

Tuesday Night-Movie Night!
Believe in Books Literacy Foundation is partnering with local non-profits to offer a family friendly movie night. They will be asking for a $5 donation however if a family can’t afford it, they are still welcome to come. There will be drinks, popcorn and snack for sale! From the Nurse
- Letters went home Wednesday advising if there was any missing paperwork needed for school enrollment. Please get this documentation to school as soon as possible.
- A new piece of information on our website to keep you updated on illness that are present in our school, with a link to some helpful information. https://sites.google.com/sau9.org/jbes-nurse/home
- Please make sure you have completed your PowerSchool forms inline for your student this year as permission for vision and hearing screenings is in there and those will starting soon.

School Meals electronic payment can be set up at EZmeal payment. You'll need your child's PowerSchool ID number, which you can get from Jess James at [email protected] .Payment for school meals can also be sent by cash or check with your child if you doet up the electronic payment system.  Lunch and Breakfast menus will be available on the school website when school starts.

Bartlett Recreation News

It’s that time of year! Our Annual Wreath Fundraiser is up us. You can find pricing, order forms and order

Orders are due by Friday October 27th . Our wreaths come from Northern Maine near the Canadian border.
They are fresh and we have had people contact us in March and say their wreath is still green and fresh!
Keeping them out of the direct sun is the key. Help us out and raise some funds for our kiddos.
Taste of the Valley returns on October 15th , 5-8pm at Attitash Grand Summit, after 3 long years! There will be
samplings from some of the finest restaurants, eateries, brewers, and bakers. Live, silent & choice auctions as
well. This is an adult only events with a cash bar. There are limited tickets available, $40 each and available by
calling Bartlett Recreation at (603)374-1952. If you would like to donate auction items or join us at a sampling
station to promote your newest signature dish, or advertise your catering company, we would love to hear
from you.

Have you checked out our new wood vending machine at the Morrell Family Community Complex? It dispenses hardwood, Stoney’s Syrup, and starter bags of wood. Soon, we will add kissing balls and wreaths for the holidays. Check it out, while there, take a stroll along our walking tails.

Our Craft Fair will return on November 4th at Josiah Bartlett Elementary School from 9am-1pm. Interested in
setting up a table, give us a call. There will be an Apple Pie Contest. Information can be found on our website

The MWV Youth Stem Expo is coming soon! Are you interested I computer science or robotics? Are you
curious about why apple turn brown, or bananas get dark spots over time? The expo will be held at the Living
Shores Aquarium on March 20th . We will be organizing some time with mentors after school one or two days a
week, providing help and guidance for you and your project. For now, look at the attached flyer and begin to
think of what you would like to do. More information will follow as available.
